Invest in a Vacuum Bleeder, only around £40, usually come with easy to follow instructions and will ensure a good result without bleeding knuckles & frustration......

Many thanks; it was something I was going to invest in. Either the Stahlbus or the Gunson valve. Any preference? Kind regards, Neil Foster

I've got a Gunson one and it did the trick - as has been said, saves a lot of hassle.
