STOLEN: 29.10.18
Land Rover Defender 50th Anniversary, 4.0l V8 auto. Reg. T466 LGO.)
Went last night from a body shop in Station Approach, Meopham, DA13. Just coming to the end of a full body restoration in it's correct Atlantis Blue paint. Distinctive vehicle that had been fettled by Overfinch when new and has had a winch fitted and suspension upgrades by Scorpion racing. Belongs to very an old friend and fellow GLASS member from Rochester. Please keep a look out. Thanks.
Not on Register - trying to obtain GB No (I recall rear badge appeared on Ebay years ago ...) _________________ Peter

When our 50th and m/bikes were stolen, the police viewed cctv cameras so they knew in what direction they had been driven in, however, we got them back due to Facebook postings. The 50th was spotted hidden in a car park by someone. The police told us that this often happens as the thieves wait to see if there is a Tracker. The police would never tell us how they found the bikes which were locked up in a garage but we thought that could have been a Facebook tip-off.
Hope you are fortunate in getting it back. The registration number is easily recognisable. |

Agreed, hiding a motor for a few days to establish Tracker is a well
known trick.
As soon as the news broke, I, and 2 or 3 other 50th owners, hit Facebook immediately and the word spread fast.
On average, each FB person knows 300, OK not all Land Rover nuts, but I'm a member of 3 specific FB Land Rover Clubs, the largest has 100,000 active members worldwide
I can see that the news and photos have been shared 50 times in the UK
Many parts will not slot easily into a diesel - ...
Bastards - and possibly thick as planks - given the number of 50th left and Atlantis Blue special flip paint and external roll cage, auto V8. Number badge, even removed leave evidence by rivet holes - it’s going to stand out like a sore thumb ..
Either thick and not realising what they have stolen, or stolen to order
That always worries me when a vehicle is in the hands of a small specialist garage, as against a main dealer who have massive security
People talk ..... _________________ Peter

Would be a good opportunity to ask all 50th members that play
Facebook to also spread the word as an aid to a fellow guy in distress
Notwithstanding his wagon is not on the Register
One of our missing ones - Literally
I have called for the GB No.
btw - I don't do Twitter, I leave that to Trump, but if anybody does, please
