|
|
i am selling my lathe (sadly)
5 foot parralel bed with 7 inch removable bed section for over sized items.
about a 20 inch throat.
tail stock middle stock and pivet stock, screw cutting facility and adjustable cutting gears.
this is a very old lathe with bronze bearings, old but bullet proof.
the saddle has cross and parrallel slides.
there are about 20 gears for cutting speeds.
the lathe used to have an old 1hp motor which was gutless, but i have altered it to a three phase 3 hp motor with a fully computerised single to 3 phase controller.
belt driven stock with sprung loaded idler wheel.
three main speeds with split shart for double speed or locking facility.
there is a controller i have made with stop start emergency stop and fully variable speed control.
this things heavy!
if you are condisering buying this you wont get it in your boot!
although i'll knock of a tenner to watch you try!
:mi7:
it traditional green and in the old style built to last.
there is an under tray / shelf which is ideal for tolls etc.
there are about 30 precut specialised tools of all shapes some good some not so good.
the stock is size 2 so tappered drills ect will fit a treat.
it happly turns metal but could do with setting up properly by someone who knows what there doing unlike me.
i'd like 650 quid for this.
lathes aint cheap nor easy to transport, this one does split completely down and with the controller and motor which is brand new it should last you a lifee time.
ring me if your interested i dont expect to have this for very long and it's one three other sites so be quick. _________________ Sadly not a 50th member any longer more like a hanger-on if you know what i mean.
