This is a sad sad day.

Due to not being able to get the money I need to renovate my house, she has to go. This breaks my heart as Simon only finished restoring her end of Spring this year and I was looking forward to this relationship lasting a very long time.

She's only done 28,000 miles and I know that these vehicles only come up rarely, so hopefully she'll find a good home.

Price - always a tricky one - seeing what good ones go for not alone once Simon's worked his magic on them, I was thinking in the region of 19,950.

Here's a quick outline of what Simon did and a link to before and more importantly, after pics.

New rear cross member
New checkered plate wing tops
New checkered plate door sills
New checkered plate rear 1/4's
New checkered plate Nas step

101 other s/s bolts and screws
New mud flaps front
New rear mud flaps
New rear reverse light
New rear fog light
New indicator lights
New stop lights
New number plate light and new extension plinth
Re furbished alloys
New paint on the 50th's body
New paint on rear cross member
New paint on internal roll cage
New V8 stickers
New Defender bonnet decal
New door locks all round
New rear sliding windows
New rear interior roof lining front to back.
New rear entry step cover
New wind screen rubber
New aerial
New rear 1/4 section of tub
New rear end of tub.

This really is braking my heart, but thanks to tight mortgage companies - I need the dosh!

She did cost me a small fortune to restore and if you want to know anything technical, Simon did offer his services to fill in any blanks that I might not know.

cheers
Stevo

Oh Stevo, that is sad. I cant believe that It is GB043, the very same 50th that i saw the pictures of when Simon finnished with. It is beautiful. I wish i had 20,000.

I hope it goes well for you.

Good luck Stevo, with the low milage and Simon's magic, 20k should be no problem.

I'm going to flash it over to my mate Lee, he's always wanted one and keep pertering me for GB 135 - which I will never sell.

cheers chaps for your support, such a shame she has to go - I've only done 100 miles in her since the restoration - that's not even a full tank of petrol!

Smile

I bought GB010 and paid 19500 from Outwood. It has a Janspeed exhaust, new aircon, new radiator, new alternator new power steering, total respray, engine rebuid, koni shocks, sports seats, full leather etc and looks and drives like new...other than some interior paintwork which needs some attention. I think your price is about right as GB010 has about 83k on the clock. Took it on a 250m journey up to North Wales and it was excellent. I have no regrets about forking out nearly 20k for such a great motor..good luck!

cheers for the feedback,

I know it'll take a little while for thew right person to nab this one as she is a little steep - but she is worth it. okay, if you want original, then you won't want my 50th - but if you want a genuine low mileage example with fab exterior/interior then look no further - Simon has done her proud.
There will be a little flexibility in the price as I'm getting a little 'tight pants' with the renovation starting at the end of the month - then I will need the money Laughing

Stevo I think it's too cheap by atleast 2000 .
There is not another 50th out there with that milage in pristine restored condition .
Who ever purchases that 50th has a serious investment if left in pristine condition and the milage kept low .

cheers Simon,
I know it just needs the right person to come along - such a shame - took her out the weekend with the kids - they love it as much as me.
if there was a way to keep her - but new bedrooms for the kids seems to take priority Laughing

Any one interested in purchasing a 50th would be silly not to view yours first as it is the second recently restored 50th this year and the only recently restored 50th available in show room condition for sale .
If I were you Stevo I would call a Land Rover magazine and have it articled in there . At the end of the wright up they can mention its for sale and I would sell it for more to be honest but it's audience will be landy enthusiasts Wink

hiya chaps,
I'm in need of letting my 50th go very soon - extension imminent - so it pains me to say - I am open to offers? (I hear you say - don't do it but I need to)

She is in mint condition thanks to Simon's magic and if you want a low miler that looks better than when it left the factory - then this is the one.

cheers
