Hi all,

Stupid question I know...

But the high beam warning light on my wagon is really really bright - to the point of avoiding using high beam.

The other lights do not seem to be the same - brighter than my 90's but not as bad as the high beam.

Anyone else have this, or could someone of put the wrong bulb in?

There are a few different wattages of these little”wedge” bulbs, as I found out in my old Ford Escort - I ended up with the heater control shining like a sun!

Take a look to see - swap it for a “normal” brightness lamp to see if there’s a difference.

(Don’t swap it out for the alternator light though, as it’s often part of the charging circuit).

Genius idea, why on earth did I not think of that!

I'll swap it for the indicator bulb that I know is OK and report back.

Cheers

With thanks to Captainbeaky...

It was simply a case of a bulb being fitted that was brighter than the other ones.

In case anyone ever needs the correct bulb, partner number is;

Lucas LLB226 - 12v 1.2W - Capless.

I can now use high beam without squinting Smile
