Hi all

Ok so 317 is running low on power
I know tappets have started tapping due to it being stood so long so hoping when she gets in the workshop for a full major service with new rad tappets oils water pump belt etc fitted she will spring back to life

Need to check timing as well just to be on the safe side

She had new plugs at the last service with magnecore leads so shouldnt be an issue there

Any other recomendations

Already got the new Mk3 bosch injectors and Mark Adams ECU

OK so had a good old Natter with Mark Adams reff lack of power

Ok taking into account injectors ecu and various other upgrades the issue seems to be around the kick down cable - yet to check

Mark tells me there a 2mm allowance on the kick down cable and a ferrule on the cable at the pleninum end could have moved

Also he reports most 50th dont actually run at full throttle

So things to check
Engine off
Press throttle fully down
Whilst throttle fully down make sure you adjust for full opening of the planinum gate

Next check for 2mm on kick down tension to ferrule
I will be doing more with this over the next few days so will report back my findings

The kick down cable is vital to good running both for the engine pick up and the gearbox change and load rates on the autobox

Reports of loos ferules on the kick down cable which i think has happend to mine

If you have any ifo please share

ta

Quick update
Power fully restored and running better than factory by a long way

Adaptive reset through Nanocom unit
New throttle pot
Plugs leads and full in depth service
Recalibrated Bigger injectors
Altered induction system and retune ecu through Mark Adam’s Tornado system

Pulls like a steam train and more efficient than ever before

Would like to get a response from Tornado systems, how did you manage to? Did the injectors come from them also?
