My Defender GB 206 is having tickover problems. Sometimes it's 2500 revs and sometimes it just stalls. We've had the throttle body apart and cleaned it. The stepper motor seems to be working OK and there are no fault codes on the readout. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next. Any ideas gratefully received.

I feel your pain I’ve replaced absolutely everything now with mine.

Coil pack, the MAF sensor is extremely important and relates to the gear changes.

I’ve had starter motor, MAF, ignition coil pack, new ignition leads new spark plugs.

I’ve also have two new lamba sensors about to go on... i’m hoping now it’s had the new headers as well and Cylinder heads its idling right...

Good luck with yours.

Hi guys, right you took over issue you’ve had plenty of off blah blah blah. This applied to anybody with the gem system and the V8 on the 50th when you disconnect the throttle pot from the loom which you normally do when you take take the platinum off the Jez unit forgets to remember there is a throttle pot in the system. You need a Nana come with the appropriate software or similar to reset the gems unit and as soon as you do, reset it with the adaptive reset the throttle will drop instantly down to 850 RPM and your problem will be cured. I’ve had the same ended up having to buy the nacho unit just to give you the downside the nacho for the for the aspect is just show 500 quid while I was at it. I’ve also paid for the TD five upgrade for my son‘s car as soon as you press the adaptive reset you’re away make sure the labyrinth is in the left-hand side of the engine as you’re leaning into the engine bay only Landrover state you need to labyrinth you don’t you only put one on the driver side the other side is totally free and goes into the Plenum if you put two labyrinth in the system, it screws it all up and restrict the airflow through the engine, which then blows oil out of breath and got on in our what any problems drop me a p.m. if you’re near Doncaster and you need an Anna come give me a shout.
